Wollongong Doll Fair: All the fun of the fair

Craft collectors, teddy bear buffs and doll devotees all joined together at the Wollongong Doll, Bear & Craft Fair which took place on Saturday the 15th of October.

The annual event was held at the Wollongong Town Hall, from 9:30am-4:00pm. It featured trading tables, displays, old and new miniatures, as well as beautiful dolls and teddy bears. There were also kids craft, doll and bear valuations at the event.

This fair was hosted by the Wollongong doll club. It is a highly devoted club of members who meet up monthly to discuss events and craft work. The fair is a social event that aims to promote the enjoyment of dolls and teddy bears and also other crafts as much as their club members do.

For the last 33 years, the Wollongong doll club has been using this event opportunity to raise funds for charity. In spite of the fair being held for only one day, the members of this committee have devoted months towards its preparation. Most of the exhibitors are noted as members of the club.
